On Saturday, December 2, the entire community is invited to join in the festivities of Brownsburg’s Christmas Under the Stars, an enchanting event that promises to make your holiday season shine even brighter. The event will take place in Downtown Brownsburg, and The Winter Market at Town Hall Green will open its doors at 4 PM, featuring over 20 vendors, all offering a wide variety of holiday goods and gifts. This is the perfect opportunity to explore unique and locally-made treasures, making it easy to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list.

The Brownsburg Public Library will also be open during this event with Santa’s Workshop set up for everyone to enjoy. Here, you can create crafts with a holiday theme, providing the young and young-at-heart with the chance to get creative and make some cherished holiday memories. You’ll also be able to get into the festive spirit and show your support for local businesses by participating in the Business Holiday Decorating Contest. Vote for your favorite decorated business at the WYRZ booth during the event, and the winner will receive the Brownsburg Beam of Light award, which is sponsored by the Greater Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce. 

Westfield in Lights 

On Saturday, December 2, the annual Westfield in Lights celebration will take place from 3 PM until 6 PM at the Grand Junction Plaza. This event is free for all to attend and is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season with an array of activities and attractions for everyone to enjoy. 

One of the highlights of the event is your chance to have your picture taken with Santa Claus himself, so don’t miss the opportunity to create a heartwarming keepsake that will last you and your loved ones a lifetime. Once you’ve shared your wishlist with Santa, be sure to explore the food and retail vendors that are located all over the event. With delectable seasonal treats and one-of-a-kind gifts, it’s a one-stop shop for all of your holiday needs. From ring toss to balloon darts, there will also be an amazing set up of carnival games to enjoy, and your favorite holiday songs will constantly be in the air with live music throughout the day. The pinnacle of the evening will be the Tree Lighting Ceremony starting at 5:50 PM on the Main Stage, so don’t miss out on this magical moment in Westfield.

Christmas Nights of Lights at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds has become a cherished holiday tradition for many in the community. Whether you’ve been before or you’re considering it for the first time, you’re sure to be dazzled by over 1 million synchronized lights that make the night come to life. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for everyone, Christmas Nights of Lights will not be accepting any cash or credit at the ticket booth, but it is now offering an online reservation system where you can reserve your tickets in advance. Don’t forget to mark your calendar, bring your holiday spirit and get ready to be immersed in the enchanting world of Christmas Nights of Lights 2023. 

The Indianapolis Zoo is also another destination that thrives during the holiday season. From 5 PM until 9 PM on November 18 through December 30, visitors will be able to walk through the holiday lights, and for their 56th year, there will be even more holiday decor to get you in the spirit of the season. With opportunities to meet Santa Claus, decorate christmas cookies with Mrs. Claus, see Santa’s slay and reindeer and so much more, this event is perfect for all ages.
