Functional Title: Financial Analyst

Summary: The best candidate for this role will enjoy a mix of independent work with data and collaborative work with others. This role
offers well-rounded responsibilities that touch on classical accounting and data systems and will require strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys learning and is driven to improve processes.
Job Location: Corporate Office in St. John, Indiana
Duties, responsibilities & expectations:Analysis and Accounting:
- Lead payments to trades, including sending lien waivers, answering payment status questions, practicing internal controls, and providing excellent customer service to our trades.
- Own the accuracy of monthly inventory records, including confirming data on sales, closings, and available lots.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts monthly.
- Prepare, file, and send 1099s annually.
- Learn the inner workings and setups of our ERP with the goals of being able to (1) create new accounts, reporting codes, and reports, (2) recommend process
improvements, and (3) review our ERP data when questions arise. Strong attention to detail will result in system success and data accuracy.
- Document and review support tickets for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, HomebuilderONE, Power BI, and .NET applications.
- Learn and understand how AI is currently used in our payables process with the goal of being able to troubleshoot when it doesn’t work properly and improve its reliability. This will require collaboration with IT and Accounts Payable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to streamline processes and implement effective solutions
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations a plus
- Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Flexibility to occasionally perform off-hours tasks for system maintenance and data cleanup.
