Historic barn dedicated during Pentwater
celebration
As part of the spectacular grand opening
event at Olthof Homes' newest resort-style
community, Crown Point Mayor Dan Klein formally
dedicated Pentwater's restored historic
barn last Thursday. Originally built in
1938, the barn, which now is officially
the Harold Wheeler Community Center, joins
other notable historic sites in and around
downtown Crown Point.
"We are so pleased to have received
a number of treasured historical photographs
from Crown Point community icon Harold Wheeler,
which will be on display in the barn,''
said Carmen Ware, Olthof Homes sales manager.
"Harold Wheeler, who passed away last
year at the age of 79, followed in the footsteps
of his forefathers as a great community
leader and historian. The dedication of
this historic barn is a way to recognize
the significant contributions that he and
his family have made to Crown Point.''
Conveniently located just one minute from
Interstate 65 for commuters and less than
five minutes from Crown Point's unique hometown
square, Pentwater is designed to be a community
for active lifestyles.
"Shopping, dining, community activities
and Crown Point's award-winning schools
are just minutes away. You can also get
to Chicago and Indianapolis with equal ease
from Pentwater,'' Ware said. "But,
when you're at home and want to relax in
a vacation-style atmosphere, you don't have
to leave the neighborhood to take advantage
of the exclusive community amenities. In
planning Pentwater, we chose a combination
of amenities from other Olthof developments
to offer the best of all possible worlds
in this beautiful historic setting.''
Besides the beautifully restored barn, which
can be used for picnics and neighborhood
gatherings, Pentwater features a full clubhouse
that includes a convenient fitness center,
social rooms and kitchen for celebrations
plus a heated outdoor swimming pool with
generous sundeck. The community also offers
residents their own centrally located natural
park with a gazebo, a well-equipped playground
space, winding walking trails and calming
bodies of water accented with dramatic fountains.
According to Ware, the community will have
151 single-family homes and 109 maintenance-free
villas when complete. There currently are
nine decorated models available to tour
at Pentwater. Plus, there are five Ready
to Move In Homes available with incredible
savings on upgrades and options, thanks
to Olthof's Sizzlin' Summer Spectacular

savings for homes that close by Oct 1st.
